Asterope sapphira

This species used to be placed in the genus Callithea.
An ex pupae pair from Brazil.

I remember the first time I saw this, it was my first visit to worldwide butterflies in Dorset, Robert Gooden had 4 males for sale, they blew me away, I bought them all along with a colossal female stichopthalma godfreyi, I was a happy boy that day.
