Aeoropetes tulbaghia
The table mountain beauty, to my mind the most beautiful of all the satyridae, I have a huge female without antenna that is half the size of these again but no picture.

The almost mythical satyrid. I have a pair that are over a hundred years old which I got from Watkins & Doncaster many years ago.

At a show about 3 years ago I was looking through some African papered stuff that Paul Martin had, to my amazement there was 9 specimens of this in the boxes, I recognised the undersides immediately. I gave 4 to my friend Bob Hague and kept the others. Bob had no idea what it was but was delighted when I told him how rare it was, quite a bargain for a fiver each.

As most endemic material from South Africa : wonderful and hard-to-get ! Congrats !
