Here is the type (male) specimen of
Colias ponteni.

It was posted on this forum back in
October 2010.

I have 6 types of ponteni/imperialis at my disposal at the Natural History Museum.

It's called "Thread Drift", my 2nd most hated pet peeve about the internet.

Don't retitle another author's post, move the drifters to a new post. That's moderation.

I have retitled my thread appropriately/accordingly.

Since all of the posts were Colias related it didn't upset me. These are easy fixes and are not for a lack of moderation.

The book was on the Old World Colias only. It was already a massive amount of work, and to add North and South American species would have made it impossible.
