Troides hypolitus

Post by daveuk »

I consider this species to be the most beautiful of all the Troides.
A pair of the nominate subspecies from Ceram 1979
A pair of subspecies sulaensis from Taliabu 2006

This species is indeed one of the nicest to encounter.

However, in my humble opinion I have always found Troides amphrysus and Troides prattorum to be the grandest of the troides grouping.

Great specimens as always Dave !

I have both those species & they are beautiful. I agree.
I suppose its always going to come down to personal choice.
