Graphium weiskeii

Post by daveuk »

Normal form & blue form from same locality in Papua New Guinea. Old photos of one of my favourite Graphium.

I cannot say I've ever seen a blue form of this butterfly but, I have seen two different versions of the purple form.

A great many are the typical deep purple coloration which is very vibrant yet others appear more lighter (pastel) in appearance. Strikingly different....

Still, that blue version is an oddity I've never encountered.

Excellent specimens. I too, had not seen the blue form.
