Polyommatus bellargus
Polyommatus bellargus
The Adonis Blue
Formerly Lysandra bellargus.
Two pairs & a female. All bred specimens from U.K. localities. This species has apparently suffered set backs lately here in the U.K. A pity as I had been led to believe it had recovered quite well since it's last decline here in the 1980's.

Absolutely agree with boghaunter1's remarks.
Man, once again you have some "scale perfect" examples there Dave !
That last female is an absolute "bomb" of a specimen.
You should have that specimen illustrated by Lewington;
that famous lep artist in England. One of the best and unique specimens that I've ever seen....

Re: Polyommatus bellargus
I don't see how you can do such a perfect mounting job on such a small butterfly. Your skill is amazing. So are the specimens.
Re: Polyommatus bellargus
I can't take the credit for the mounting job on these 58chevy. I actually purchased these already mounted. I agree that they really well set/spread.
I should have mentioned this after the other two replies on this thread. Apologies to Trehopr & John for that.
