Both species possibly Prionolomia spp., or a closely related genus.

That might be the most unusual looking reduviid I've ever seen!

Looks like Anisoscelis foliaceus, or at least in the same genus.

There are some quite impressive, large/colorful coreid bugs in the US, such as Thasus neocalifornicus -

Warning coloration to predators, I assume. Many plant-feeding Hemiptera produce foul-tasting fluids.

A couple of my own photos from Southern AZ! Taken many years ago. I used to have some nice images showing groupings of them on their host plants but can't find them now.

We have a long thin scarlet Hemipteran here, very common around my house in April. I will try to remember to take photos.

World's largest Hemipteran -this specimen's asking price a number of years ago was $250.00 USD. I really regret not having purchased it outright! About 5 years ago another 125mm specimen (from French Guiana) went on auction on ebay & final price topped out at around $550.00 USD! I already had a couple of older specimens measuring 105 & 110 mm in body length. I spread the wings out on the larger specimen & they span between 8-9 inches! (203 - 230mm). Truly monster bugs!

Lethocerus maximus - Peru -126mm (just shy of 5 inches!)
