P. zelicaon (hybrid) w. extra blue

Post by Trehopr1 »

Of all my half dozen P. zelicaon (hybrids) this
one in particular stands out most for the "extra"
blue powdery coloration which extends upward
into the forewings from its obvious bold location
on the hindwings.

My lighting does not do it justice but, hybrids
can be quite outstanding at times when all the
right things in the gene pool line-up !

What is the parentage of this and the hybrids in the other thread you posted today?

Here is the data label on that particular specimen
Adam. The previous collector/breeder of this zelicaon
grouping I now own really did an oustanding job in the
accuracy and thoroughness of his data -- on every specimen !

Best I've ever seen.

Thank you for showing the excellent data label. It is strange that the breeder's name is not also on the label. Maybe it is one of Brian's.

Indeed Adam,
All of my P. zelicaon grouping including the hybrids are from Brian Bankers private collection. I checked the other labels of my (hybrids) and my zelicaon specimens and his name is on every one.

So, I believe it was just an oversight of his that is name did not wind up on this label.
