A few hymenoptera from my home location

Post by vabrou »

Interesting examples of larger hymenoptera from the *AESS Abita Entomological study site, St Tammany Parish, Louisiana. Nearly all captured using automatic capture ultraviolet light traps

Surprised to see the European hornet. I'll have to look for that in my area.

I've been getting them in my bait traps in the mountains of east TN for several years now.

I see them regularly in my fermenting brown sugar beetle traps in Ohio as well.
