What is this insect?

Post by Samqr »

Hello.
Please help me to know this Insect:

I live in Germany (Leipzig)
I found about 5-6 per day just on wall of my home.
They are super tiny and seeing is difficult.
small size (0.5-1 mm) : white/light Brown
big size (1-2 mm) : dark brown/ Black
The walking speed is fast.
They don’t fly.

I take video from them and zoom it. Then take pictures.

It appears to be an aphid -

Psocid was my next guess, but the insect in the photo appears to have abdominal cornicles, as is typical of many aphids? Perhaps what I am seeing, are actually wings?

That that is exactly what I thought Paul when I saw the picture.

However, without having a truly clear image of the specimen I couldn't exactly say that livingplanet3 was wrong in calling it some type of aphid species.

I can say that I have seen at least 2 different species of psocids from time to time (in my own home); with one of the species being larger and easier to see then the other and indeed looking very much like the image.

But again, a clearer image I believe is necessary and aphids are still a possibility since people do keep indoor plants and those plants do get them on them.
