Pachysphinx occidentalis

This is another large & impressive sphinx moth from the southwestern USA. There are 2 color forms (light & dark). These were also collected in AZ during the 2019 monsoon. I've also found them in W. Texas. I've collected its close relative, P. modesta, in E. TX & Louisiana.
