A lovely form of this species. Those are very nice specimens Dunc. This species does not fly in my vicinity but I have reared it from larvae on a couple of occasions. I have yet to produce a valezina form from reared stock. The caterpillars are voracious eaters & consume food plants at pace. Be advised to have plenty of potted violets or violas/pansies on hand if rearing this one.
I have three valezina forms in my collection. All British examples.Posting pictures with data of all of them. Including one shown recto & verso.
