Anaeomorpha splendida

A male specimen of the nominate subspecies from Iquitos in Peru. Shown recto & verso. I was very annoyed with myself setting this fairly rare butterfly & putting pin holes in apex of right forewing. Did that nearly thirty years ago. Hopefully I have improved since...

I have 2 males, one is ssp esmerelda? Can't see any difference myself

I've heard of about four females having been taken. The first was less than 20 years ago.
