An Attacus moth has been found in Washington state, if you want to read about it, it's on the Washington State Department of Agriculture
site.
It looks to me like a fresh lorquini male, probably got away from someone. Now they want people to be on the look out for these moths,
the article is amusing, but I suppose that's protocol.

Updated: pretty good evidence it was an escapee. Cocoons were listed for sale in same said city.

Not sure if the species could survive in the Bellevue area. I can tell you cocoons won't overwinter in the refrigerator, much less outdoors anywhere it snows.
