Guys,
MtDNA research has been done on the Tiger Swallowtails, but there are populations missing from the source data. There will be another round of MtDNA testing this winter, so I've accumulated specimens from NY, including the undetermined Mid Summer Tiger.
What they need are more specimens from regions where females are all yellow, including WI, IL, CT, RI. Of particular interest (to me) would be specimens from mid and northern PA. Needed are specimens spanning the season (i.e., spring through end of flights).
Condition is unimportant; location and date data is. If you have/ can capture specimens, I'll pay for the shipping to me, and I'll put them into the hands of the researchers. Just reach out to me via PM or email if you have it.
Thanks!

Thanks Chuck. I have made a similar request on the Ontario Butterflies Google Group and Kingston Field Naturalists websites. Now we play the waiting game…
