I've caught several Red Oak Borers Enaphalodes rufulus over the years, but got three in one night yesterday, and a couple earlier in the month.

Are these particularly common?

Offered them to Bob, if he doesn't want them I'll offer them again.

Fairly common here in Ohio. Three in an evening is still pretty good. I know Bob A. has collected many over the years but may still be interested for the records. Where are you located?

These are from Finger Lakes region of NY. There are not many records on iNat from NY, and even then most are along the Atlantic coast.

Bob said he wanted them. But he also said they have an alternating year emergence. Same collecting location since 2003, first one 2018 followed by 2020, 2021, and 2022. So they defied they alternating year rule.
