Citheronia regalis & Dysschema howardi

C. regalis is native to the eastern half of the USA. A closely related species, C. splendens, is found in Arizona. They are easily hybridized. D. howardi, a large (100mm wingspan) tiger moth, is native to the southwestern USA. It feeds on Ocotillo. The canvas size is 40 inches wide, so the moths pictured are about 36 inches wingspan. Done in acrylics.
