Yellow (female) morpho's

Post by Trehopr1 »

Females of Morpho cypris and Morpho rhetenor
are pleasing in their own right. The only "boldly"
yellow colored females I can think of... They also
show a marked difference in overall size, wing shape,
and intensity of their respective coloration.

Years ago, both were quite expensive costing
several hundreds of dollars a piece but, they
have dropped in price considerably; albeit you
will still pay quite a bit more than you would
for any male of the respective species.

Top: Morpho cypris cypris
Bottom: Morpho rhetenor sp.
