This is a remarkably variable butterfly and really superb wherever it may be found.

For being a large species I find it funny I've never (offhand) seen it in any collections here thus far.

That's strange. I suppose it may have been overlooked due to it being a common species where it occurs. It's a really graceful species on the wing. Particularly the females.
