Wild Cherry Sphinx (Sphinx drupiferarum)

Another of our fine eastern U.S species of sphinx
is this one; the Wild Cherry Sphinx (S. drupiferarum).
Here in my state (Illinois) it remains an elusive species
with only a few records present from the far southern
counties of the state.
I have never encountered it but, a good friend has managed
a few select captures of which this is one of the best....
