I only saw this butterfly once in Northern Argentina in 2018.
The one I saw was in nowhere near as pristine condition as these.
I remember seeing drawers full of this species at BMNH on a visit in the 1980s. Although I believe it is being bred now in Brazil/Paraguay it is still a species missing from my collection.

There are at least a couple of species of Myscelia that occasionally stray across the TX border, such as M. ethusa -
