The scammers are still getting through. One slip of the finger or mouse and an accidental Hit on a link and good chance there’s a virus. A scammer that targets us could make a thread that looks good but is dangerous.

Is there a way to enable more and faster moderation?

I was busy with frankly much more important issues than moderating Insectnet, since my brother is in ICU in a coma.

As soon as I had time I logged on, deleted the spam and banned the offender. wollastoni has apparently managed to prevent spambots from registering and posting filth, but unfortunately it is very difficult to allow people to register without spammers also doing the same.

We do try and check this as time permits on a daily basis. And Adam is especially effective - probably because he works from a unique time zone. But they do slip through temporarily before the get deleted.
