Re: Papilio ophidicephalus
Is Bonkewitzz still around? I had some great ophidicephalus and euphranor from him over the hears.
Re: Papilio ophidicephalus
I have not heard from him for some time. He was originally from Argentina so may be back there now.Kirkwilliams wrote: ↑Mon May 30, 2022 4:20 am Is Bonkewitzz still around? I had some great ophidicephalus and euphranor from him over the hears.

Re: Papilio ophidicephalus
I think the original locality data is "Worlds View, Pietermaritzburg" for the top specimen and "Ngome Forest" for the second. The bottom line of data says "P date & place", which is where the pupa (= P) came from. Both emerged in Pietermaritzburg. The labels need correcting.
Worlds View and Ngome Forest are a long way from each other.
Adam.

Thanks for clearing that up Adam.
Re: Papilio ophidicephalus
P. ophidicephalus is the southern/eastern representative of the group.
Here's P. lormieri lormieri, which is found throughout central Africa.
