Hello everyone!
My latest acquisition, completely perfect. I think the priamus and urvilleanus were bred, the cites just says "imported".
Price is very low.

I'm waiting for other ornitoptera to be bred too.
I didn't want to buy any more, but here the price was very inviting for my budget.

Ornithoptera urvilleanus is stunning. If this is your first specimen, I'm glad you got one.

They rarely breed urvilleanus because it's as common as dirt. They're everywhere, no matter what CITES idiots think. I think my best morning was a dozen or so in an hour.

Besides which, neither victoria nor urvilleanus are captively bred, they are ranched- the natives find the larvae and raise them.

Still, one of the most spectacular butterflies in the world.

Very nice acquisition indeed.

Always magnificent for its size and it's variable blue coloration and black markings. I've never had more than a couple of males (myself) but, achieving that first one is always spectacular.
