I had some pupae a few years back from which I only got a handful of adults sadly. It is a really lovely species & also sadly in a lot of trouble in the wild due to habitat loss I hear/read

I have always liked your past photo postings of this species. You have acquired some especially nice examples....

Well done.

Good heaven's Dave I think you and Dunc
must shop at the same dealer who dabbles in "spot on" excellent choices. Nothing less....

I absolutely love this species.

I think the similarities lie in the fact that we don't 'specialise", we buy what we fancy. The only real area that I keep to a system with is British lepidoptera, my collection is split into 2 parts with that, historic and self caught, as for exotics and other stuff I just go with the flow, always have.

If something is rare/beautiful/interesting/unusual and I can afford it then I buy it.

I have known Dunc a long time & we often bump into each other at entomological shows etc. We certainly have similar tastes !!
