Daveuk,
I believe the locality of your charaxes hadrianus is wrong.
Mbale is a town in eastern Uganda, near the Kenya border and hadrianus does not fly there.
Most probably your specimen comes from Mbata, which is a famous collecting site in the south-west of the Central African Republic.

Thank You. I must have misread the data label.
Actually checked after writing the above. I think the dealer( in this case the late Chuck Ianni) wrote out the data incorrectly.

There is an Mbalé in C.A.R., to the west of Bangui:

The site of Mbalé in the Central African Republic is not unknown to me. It is located near Bogboro (Mbaiki).
The locality is occasionally visited by collectors.
Mbalé is a common name for localities in Central African countries. In Cameroon, there are at least 3 localities with the name Mbalé, one of them near the Central African border.
