The "good" news is that it didn't matter on my last trip, since 10 days in FL I never had cause to take the net out.
I think black nets work for many people. I focus on little brown and black bugs, and I rarely pinch a bug because I invariably do more damage to legs and palps than it is worth. If you are mostly working with larger bugs that don't blend in with the netting that are easier to pinch without messing them up - black may be the answer to your dreams.
