Heteropteryx dilatata NATIVE food plants?

Post by Panacanthus »

I am wondering if anyone knows what plant species Heteropteryx dilatata feeds upon in its natural habitat? I am planning an artistic wall display for this species, and it would be great to include some illustrations of the native food plant(s). It’s easy to find countless sources online that tell what they will eat in captivity, but the only reference to a native food plant I have been able to find is guava. However, guava isn’t even endemic to Malaysia, so I’d prefer an endemic food plant species.

Here is one of the specimens, a beautiful yellow female, which will be going into the display.
