San Antonio TX first week of May???

Post by Chuck »

Hi all, wondering how field work / butterfly populations will be around San Antonio the first week of May.

Isn't 58chevy in that area? Anyone else have insights? Worth doing? Where to go?

Thanks.

May should be an active month. The early spring flights will be over by then, but there will still be lots of stuff flying. The best reference for places to look is "Finding Butterflies in Texas" by Ro Wauer. It is probably out of print but you might be able to find it on ebay. If you can't find it, PM me and I'll email you a few of the locations.
