Hi again,
I have two Erebus that don't match anything I can find in the limited print publications I have, or on iNaturalist, or Papua Insects, or anywhere else. I've checked the Franclemont collection, not there either.
How the heck do I find the global expert on Erebus? Normally I'd contact an author of one of the descriptions, but given that most new species descriptions date to the 1800s, so I'm guessing those authors are gone.
Thanks.
How to track down global expert(s) on specific genera?

If from New Guinea or surrounding islands, you should ask to Rob de Vos.
At worst, he may be able to give you a better contact.
