Recently acquired pair of this subspecies from Japan.

I didn't know Japan had any leaf butterflies present.

This subspecies is found on the Yaeyama Islands (Ishigaki, Iriomote) belonging to Okinawa Prefercture, which are just east of northern Taiwan. I am not sure how far north this species reaches in Japan.
