"wildest looking" species that I've ever run across !
I've always been a fan of the Rothschildia genus due to
their over-sized windowed areas on the wings.
However, proportionally speaking this one beats them all
"hands down" in how much of the wing area is transparent.
I was told it is only occasionally encoutered along the
border regions of Columbia/Ecuador.
**Through the kind and noble efforts of our forum member (livingplanet3) we now have a name for this very unusual species which I had no ID for in my original post today.
Thank you livingplanet3 for all your help !!
