ghost posts

Post by kevinkk »

Today I received an email from a potential buyer for some Hyalophora euryalus ova I posted on June 7 , the eggs sold out in about 40 minutes
and I took the ad down right away.
I just looked through livestock ads for the time period, and my ad was not there, which I expected, because I took it down after the eggs sold.
I wrote the individual back, and that's all fine . Now, my question is, if you haven't already guessed, how did this happen? I don't mind chatting with
new people, did this person write down my address in the mere 40 minutes the ad was up and wait until my larva are in L2 and L3 to ask
if I still have ova for sale? Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I can see someone missing availability by a few days if they've written
down an address and get back to it later, but, I take ALL my ads down after the material is no longer available, and as soon as possible. :?: :?:

I record contact info for things I might need in the future. It’s quite common.

Yes, since the post is no longer up, and hasn't been up since June 8th, I see that as the most likely explanation.
The individual did say they were new to Insectnet.
It never hurts to ask- but an ad for ova that's 30 days old?
At any rate, I gave her a lot of good advice about the site.
