I have had a relationship for a long time, which is why I sent payment before the parcel was sent. Mari asked me to send money first as badly needed for family. Parcel received with bad quality butterflies, eaten by dermestid beetles. The parcel was full of them on arrival eating away at the butterflies! She promised to replace and as a gesture of goodwill I even sent more money to cover the postage cost. Yet after many, many (!) months of chasing, nothing. I strongly recommend you do NOT SEND PAYMENT upfront. Only after you receive and are happy.

I am very happy to say that Mari Felipe has sent replacements and is once again her usual honest and reliable self. She genuinely had some challenges to overcome and has worked very hard to preserve her honesty and reputation. I admire and respect that. Thank you very much Mari Felipe

Interesting. How do I get in contact with her or similar individuals? I'm new here by the way, and am eager to connect with insect suppliers, particularly from my own country of the Philippines and those in neighboring countries - a task which thus far has proven difficult prior to my discovery of networks such as this one.

My collection consists primarily of material that I have caught myself, though it is only limited to the common species that are reliably encountered in the forested areas that are readily accessible to me (such as my backyard and my university grounds). Recently, however, I've had a desire to get my hands on some of the rarer material. Then I saw this thread, which was what prompted me to make an account and seek the advice of those more experienced than me in this regard.

Good to see that the matter has been sorted for you Laurie
I too have a long term relationship with Mari Felipe, her husband Nel Layron and their business Bluemetallic88 on Ebay.
I posted a warning back in March 2023 about my dealings with them and I still stand over this as I have never gotten a refund despite numerous emails which eventually went ignored.
I think Mari will have to work a lot harder to preserve her "honesty and reputation"
She can start by refunding my money and maybe then I may admire and respect that.

Over 2 months have passed and nothing but silence from Mari.
From my point of view there is nothing for Mari to understand.
She is either going to refund me or she is not and may I remind her that her "honesty and reputation" is still in question.
