Panacea bleuzeni
Panacea bleuzeni
A pair from French Guiana.
All my specimens of this species came from Chuck Ianni from Ohio U.S.A. He sadly passed away at the end of last year.

Re: Panacea bleuzeni
Endemic from the "Montagne de Kaw", a small area in French Guiana where I staid last year.
I saw only some old specimens in bait traps.
They are not so common but on some years, they can have a population explosion.
A splendid species.

Re: Panacea bleuzeni
These are poor photos. Apologies. They do not do the specimens justice.

Re: Panacea bleuzeni
Agreed - the markings do seem more consistent with that of P. divalis (a ssp. of P. procilla, according to some authors).

Chuck Ianni was the best. Really sad that he is not with us any longer.daveuk wrote: Fri Jun 03, 2022 1:45 pm A pair from French Guiana.
