Limenitis
Limenitis
These specimens are from N. America. The top one with the white band is L. weidemeyerii from New Mexico. The white-banded ones below that are L. arthemis from the northern part of the USA. The all-blue ones are also L. arthemis, from east Texas & Mississippi. I'd like to see other Limenitis species from across the globe.

Re: Limenitis
Lovely specimens. Will have to find some of mine to photograph
I do have an old photo of my single specimen of L weidemyerii. Is this a rare species?

Re: Limenitis
L weidemyerii is not a particularly rare species, but they look great. The underside in my opinion looks better than the topside. Your specimen is in much better condition than mine.
Re: Limenitis
I have old photos of two species
A pair recto & verso of L populi (Poplar Admiral) from Czech Republic
A female L staudingeri from Ambon Indonesia
