Travelling with specimens

Post by Annarobertson1947 »

So, i asked earlier about travelling with specimens via plane overseas.
And im wondering if anyone has experience in tiling of specimens in a small box to save space?
If overlapping is possible without damage in transit it would save number of boxes, am looking at transportation of 10 medium specimens of Agrias
Any thoughts?

Ok, no thoughts, so will rephrase query.
If specimens are laid out tiled ( overlapped) is there a big risk to antenna being damaged?

You can overlap, I always did it. Just be careful how you place the specimens so antennae and wings don't touch. And use plenty of set pins to keep them in place. I find it's better to tilt them a bit. Before pinning the specimens look for any drooping wings or antennae, those go first.
