Red-splashed sulphur (Phoebis avellaneda)

This renowned species is the apex of grandeur
amongst its genus. The males and females alike
are " blindingly" striking in their reddish/orange
and yellow garb. The species is endemic to Cuba.

I present one of (two) equally stunning males that
I have acquired over these last 20 years. They don't
come cheap in this shape and females are generally
more difficult to run across in the hobby AND are
even more expensive....

Beautiful. Easy to see why it has been called by many the most magnificent of the pieridae. My sister swears she saw this species while honeymooning in the Dominican Republic a few years ago. As this one is endemic to Cuba I think it's very much more likely she saw P philea huebneri.
I have a couple of males too but neither match the quality of your specimen.
