Feeding Butterflies

everyone,

I'm currently raising Papilio glaucus butterflies. I need a tip on how to feed the adults. I have honey, sugar and water available.

Thanks in advance,
Joachim

Re: The Kyushu University Museum collection is online

My Japanese is a bit rusty. The specimens are fantastic, I like the following best
http://db.museum.kyushu-u.ac.jp/entomology/?wb=det&cl=9&it=394
But Adam is right, without names it's not good for identification. Since my Japanese is so bad, I can't see if there's a listing of the names anywhere on ...

Papilio bachus or zagreus or ascolius

Hello,

I am a little confused.
I bought this butterfly as Papilio bachus. Tingo Maria, Peru.
But I think that many dealers reside there and it is not the exact locality.

Anyway, I found on the site

Hello, this swelling liquid or soft liquid was sold by Fa, Fiebig in Berlin. Feels alkaline. I hardly use it, but I think it is ammonia with additives. But these should be put in the soaking liquid.
You are not supposed to drink it, but $10 is also too expensive.

Re: Some of my recent "papered" Stichopthalma

These Stichophthalma are very fascinating, I have some from Vietnam but I am still waiting for these to be reviewed. You are right, the species seem to be ambiguous and I also suspect that there are variants, either seasonal or überhautp.
This specimen is from the south,BAC BINH, VIETNAM, and is ...

STICHOPHTHALMA UEMURAI SSP. FROM BAO LOC, VIETN.

Here is my latest acquisition, the antennae are still in Vietnam. Compared to the other Stichopthalma I have, this specimen is relatively small.

Hi and here are the ladies. I am not sure whether the female "vadepolli" is really vandepolli. The labe is from the 70is.
Maybe (surely you have an idea.

As I said, I tried this with a green Papilio, using acetone, benzine and alcohol. No chance, I think that structures are destroyed.
