Re: Polyommatus bellargus
I don't see how you can do such a perfect mounting job on such a small butterfly. Your skill is amazing. So are the specimens. I can't take the credit for the mounting job on these 58chevy. I actually purchased these already mounted. I agree that they really well set/spread. I should have mentioned...

Polyommatus bellargus
The Adonis Blue
Formerly Lysandra bellargus.
Two pairs & a female. All bred specimens from U.K. localities. This species has apparently suffered set backs lately here in the U.K. A pity as I had been led to believe it had recovered quite well since it's last decline here in the 1980's.

Pair shown upperside & underside. Argentina.
Third photo is a picture I took(with my phone)of a male in Mendoza, Argentina in August 2018.
I saw a couple other species in Chile on that trip.
The undersides of this genus are beautifully intricate.

A'h yet another superb Pierid species. πβΊοΈ This is one I've never run across and I like it for it's striking colors and the two color forms that the female comes in. Reminds me of the two color form females that Phoebis philea also has. Pierids are such delightfully bright and cheerful butterflies ...
