Extremely rare in collections. I have one very old male from India with a good chunk out of one forewing. This is a great specimen. The population on Hainan Island in China a recent discovery I believe. Before this it was only known from India.

I think this is a pale form of M didius trehopr but there has been much renaming of the Morpho genus over the past few years I find. This butterfly is from an old American collection that I am currently inventorying.
