Re: Tiny white bugs in my teak cabinet
Looks like a mite infestation
The first thing I would do is check the food supplies in the kitchen.
Good luck!

Castnius asteropoides
The photo probably shows a male of Castnius asteropoides from Peru (endemic).
I am looking for a photo or a good description of the female. The species probably has a noticeable sexual dimorphism.
I would be grateful for any information.

The site of Mbalé in the Central African Republic is not unknown to me. It is located near Bogboro (Mbaiki). The locality is occasionally visited by collectors. Mbalé is a common name for localities in Central African countries. In Cameroon, there are at least 3 localities with the name Mbalé, one o...

There have been doubts in the past whether Argema fournieri is a "good species" or only a subspecies of A. mimosae. According to Bold, however, the species status seems to be assured. There are also a number of illustrations there, as well as of the other Argema species. https://v3.boldsys...

Argema kuhnei seems to occur at altitudes above 1500m. At least the 3 specimens in my collection were caught at altitudes between 1500 and 2000m. A. kuhnei has already been successfully bred. A subspecies of A. kuhnei has also been described from Zambia: Argema kuhnei katangensis (Bouyer 2008). Alto...

The photo of OP is signed by Luis M. Constantino. I assume that this is Luis Miguel Constantino, a well-known researcher and entomologist from Colombia. He has posted quite a few pictures on Flickr with similar photographic skill. https://www.flickr.com/photos/140413390@N06/ Since Flickr is not a sc...

"According to sources, male Barsine's are not known to have a yellow form".
There is a interesting publication about Barsine species in Cambodia. A yellow form of a male is also shown there.
