Buy ESO Gold for Jester’s Festival

by Yegeirjuff » Mon Mar 27, 2023 8:13 am

The Jester’s Festival will be coming to Tamriel in The Elder Scrolls Online shortly. Players will be able to earn a lot of rewards through this event, as well as a chance to win event tickets for Impresario.

Starting at 2:00 pm GMT on March 29th, players will have the opportunity to complete the daily “The Elder Scrolls Online” Clown Festival task for nine days, and numerous rewards will be unlocked through the player’s performance in the Clown Festival task. and tickets for various events.

To start the clean-faced quest, the first thing players need to do is go to the jester pavilion in Ebonheart, Vulkhel Guard or Daggerfall, where the player will meet a clown dressed as the leader of the Alliance, after completing the introduction, the player will be rewarded with Pie of Misrule Memento, which provides a 100% XP boost for two hours.

As with other Elder Scrolls Online events, players will need to complete specific quests or clown gift boxes found when killing designated enemies to unlock rewards. The first task players complete each day will reward them with more loot and three event tickets. For details about the Clown Festival gift box rewards and related tickets, please go to the well-known game website IGGM for detailed information.

With the arrival of the Scribe DLC from the Destiny DLC on March 28th, the update will introduce the Hide Shoulder Collectable, a way for players to hide shoulder armor. This will make the game experience smoother for players, said Elder Scrolls Online’s creative director. In order to be able to shine in Jester’s Festival, and for the Arcanist who will come later, it will be necessary to prepare some Elder Scrolls Online Gold. Moreover, Elder Scrolls Online Items such as Mounts and Style Parlor are believed to be of great help to players.

The new moons are on July 17 and August 16. Although July 17 is about 10 days earlier than normal, I’ve seen years where it peaks that early. There’s always stuff to go after anyways. Usually the Peloncillos and Huachuca Mtns. start a bit earlier than places to the west like Pena Blanca or Harshaw. There is also potentially some good stuff in August, but probably not Saturniids. If you want the Saturniids though, I bet it will be an early year, so I’d plan on mid July. It’s been 2 wet years in a row, with 2021 being record-breaking and 2022 was above average, so it will be interesting to see this year.

Lovely specimens, but Papilio dehaanii is a separate species to P. bianor. Your specimens from Honshu, Japan are ssp. dehaanii. True P. bianor only occurs in Yaeyama Islands (Ishigaki etc) in southernmost Japan. There is a third species, P. ryukyuensis on Okinawa (ssp. ryukyuensis) and Amami (ssp. amamiensis), whereas the population on Tokara Island (ssp. tokaraensis) belongs to P. dehaanii.

This has been confirmed in a very important paper on genus Papilio (s.l.) that has just been published in pre-proof form. We are not very happy that the publishing company is selling copies of the pre-proof version, which will be different in some small ways to the final official version. This policy will result in more than one version in circulation. Luckily in this case there will not be any scientific differences between the versions. Once the final online version is published I will tell everyone here about it and the many changes to Papilio taxonomy resulting from this paper. In the case of the three species above we only confirmed previous findings, nothing really new.

SEAZ 2023 - Lunar Mismatch?

by ColoradEO » Sun Mar 26, 2023 1:51 pm

Hi SEAZ experts, I was thinking about trying out a SEAZ monsoon moth trip again this year, but looking at the lunar calendar, it looks like the moon is full smack dab when I assumed the monsoon aligned? What are y’all’s thoughts? Is there a window? Will the moon be too much competition? When would you go if you believe it’s worth the trip?

Thanks so much daveuk for your compassion. :) Hopefully I'll be back to near normal by year's end & ready... for next year! I really enjoy finding interesting videos & unusual/rare "bug" photos to share with the like minded crowd here on the Insectnet site. I have to also Thank you daveuk, again, in return, for all your posts of your immaculately curated & beautiful specimens... they are a delight to see! :D

Incredible Lifelong Insect Collection

by boghaunter1 » Sun Mar 26, 2023 4:18 am

Have you got half an hour to spare? Check out this fabulous video. It is in German (I think?!... someone please correct me if I'm wrong..), but the language of "bugs" is universal. Does anyone know this collector & can tell us more. Is he still with us? What is the current status of his massive collection? The amazing thing about this collection is that he only shows us a few drawers out of each huge cabinet (even has the Alexandra Birdwing!) & every drawer viewed is spectacular!.... what else is there in the dozens of unseen drawers?... we can only imagine! :o

Lindenfels Schmetterlingssammlung - Hansjorg Morckel... 29 minutes:

I will try sometime, but not now, as I am still recovering from my left hip joint replacement & am still in considerable pain as I am still awaiting word on when I can get my other right hip done as well! Right now I am still hobbling around with the aid of two walking canes & cannot carry about glass cases or anything heavy, especially my precious insects!... in fear of dropping them... I think you can understand. My life has come to a near complete standstill since a very bad fall I had in Jan, 2021 & I hope to be better by this fall... provided I have my 2nd surgery this year sometime from spring to fall. All I can really do right now is upload 15 year old photos to this site & spend a lot of time on the internet looking at "bug" videos... & recommending some for you here!

Hope you are in much better shape come the autumn John. Meanwhile thanks for all your posts. Much appreciated.
